Another Great Race Weekend for BMX Pro Joey Leto and Big Announcement!

Joey Leto raced at the Blackjack Nationals in Reno, Nevada on July 7th – 9th. Reno was stop number 6 of the USA BMX pro series.

Reno has an indoor track and is unique compared to some of the other stops throughout the year. The track is a lot smaller and racing is tight in the turns. BMX riders have to be well rounded at all styles of tracks to do well in overall standings.

Leto had a great weekend of racing and got some good points towards overall standings. Friday, he finished 2nd in the final behind his good friend Jack Davis. “It was his first podium and he had won so it was a fun day to be able to share the podium with him and enjoy the moment,” Leto said.

Saturday was another great day of racing. Leto finished 3rd in the main and had first gate pick going into the race. After those two races, he jumped to 4th place in the overall point standings. He ended the weekend with a 4th in Sundays UCI C1 race.

“Overall was one of my best weekends and I’m happy with the overall progress I am making. Route is a big help in getting me to this point and am happy to have them supporting my journey,” said Leto.

Big Announcement:

Joey Leto has been selected by USA cycling to compete at this year’s UCI BMX World Championships in elite men! It will take place from August 11th – 13th in Glasgow, Scotland. Leto will be one of 4 elite men competing for USA this year. He has Route logos on his USA jersey and looks forward to representing at an international level.
