Click the video to learn more about this partnership.

Who is CABVI?

Cincinnati Association for the Blind & Visually Impaired, also known as CABVI, is a 100-year-old private, not-for-profit organization offering comprehensive services and job opportunities for people of all ages who are blind or visually impaired. CABVI is a dynamic organization that continues to grow and change to meet the needs of an increasing number of people who need its services. CABVI’s mission is to empower people who are blind or visually impaired with opportunities to seek independence. To learn more, please visit cincyblind.org.

How does this acquisition benefit Route?

This unique partnership benefits Route in many ways. First, it gives Route a mission bigger than itself. Route will have the opportunity to make a direct impact on people’s lives by providing them career opportunities in the logistics industry that they might not have had available otherwise. Second, it allows Route to partner with an amazing organization that is led by a number of talented and mission-driven individuals. Third, it will open the doors to many industries and organizations throughout the United States that are supporting the mission or in need of transportation services that Route provides on a daily basis.

Will this acquisition affect my shipping?

Our services, employees, and how Route operates will remain the same. In fact, this is another reason why the partnership between Route and CABVI is unique. It is important for Route to partner with an organization that has a similar culture and strives to support Route’s growth plans to expand its services and investments in technology, and to provide as many career opportunities as possible. When you book a shipment with Route, you are not only booking a shipment with a great company, you are supporting a mission that is helping people reach their full potential through the power of work.

Does the acquisition change the corporate structure of Route?

Route Transportation & Logistics, Inc has become a wholly-owned subsidiary of CABVI and it will continue to operate as a for-profit company. The only thing that is changing is that the company is moving from an S-Corp to a C-Corp because of the transfer of ownership. Additionally, Route’s executive team and staff will not be changing.
